Description

Royal Boondi is an Indian snack made from gram flour. They are like small balls or fried gram flour. Mainly used to make Boondi Raita: Curd (simple yoghurt), boondi (which has been soaked in water to make it soft, then sieved), and seasonings of salt, chilli, and other spices are the main ingredients in boondi raita. It is consumed with pulao or any other meal as a side dish. It also makes for a great addition to Indian beverages like jal jeera and chaat like dahi vada. It is easy to store and can be kept in an airtight container and it won't go stale. It helps in keeping cholesterol levels in check and reduces hypertension. It is also rich in calcium, iron and magnesium.
