Custard Powder is a flavoured thickening agent used to make desserts. It is a mixture of cornflour, table salt, an annatto colour (derived from the achiote tree), and flavouring agents. Vanilla is one of the most popular flavourings used for Custard Powder. Usually, Custard Powder has a hint of a yellowish tone. It is mixed with hot milk to prepare the delicious custard sauce. This sauce is widely used as toppings for cakes, pies, ice-creams, desserts, and puddings. Custard Powder is also used to bake cookies.
