Description

Galangal is a rhizome like ginger and has a strong flavour to it. Fresh galangal adds savour and depth to many dishes like soups and curries. Dried galangal is also used in food preparation in a powdered form, regularly in breads. It has orange-brown skin with pale yellow or white interior and has pinkish portions too. Galangal feels more like pepper than ginger and has a prickly, sturdy a pine like- aroma.
