fresho! Onion - Sambhar, 250 g | Deltla Webmanagement

Description

Sambhar onions, also known as shallots or "small onions" in India, are a vital ingredient in Indian cuisine. These small, flavourful onions are integral to the preparation of sambhar, a popular lentil-based stew, and various other dishes. Grown primarily in Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, and Andhra Pradesh, sambhar onions are cherished for their unique, mildly sweet taste that enhances the flavour of curries, chutneys, and pickles. Their smaller size allows them to caramelise quickly, adding depth to dishes. In traditional South Indian cooking, sambhar onions are preferred for their aromatic qualities and ability to meld seamlessly with spices and tamarind.
